How We Think About Capital
Our philosophy is unremarkable by design. We believe capital is best served by patience, alignment, and a genuine willingness to say no. What follows are the principles that govern every decision we make on behalf of those who entrust us with theirs.
Preservation Before Growth
Before any capital is deployed, we ask what could impair it — not what could multiply it. Growth that cannot survive a difficult decade is not growth we are interested in producing.
Alignment of Interest
We do not structure arrangements that reward activity over outcome. Our interests are aligned with those of our partners for the full duration of a relationship, not merely at its outset.
Patient, Considered Deployment
Capital is deployed when the opportunity merits it, not when a schedule demands it. We are equally comfortable holding capital in reserve as we are committing it.
Rigorous Selection
We evaluate far more than we ever act upon. The relationships and opportunities we decline outnumber the ones we accept, by design.
